Mission
Our mission is to enhance quality of life by bringing the benefits of art and creativity to the psychedelic world and the benefits of psychedelics and Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness into creative, clinical, and communal spaces.
We are committed to exploring, articulating, and demonstrating the inherent value that art therapy, creativity, psychedelics, and consciousness have for each other and how those impact human potential and wellbeing.
Vision
We imagine a thriving nexus in which the benefits of creativity, art, and the art making process are integrated into the understanding, training, and practice of working with psychedelics and Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness (NOSC).
Values
Creativity we believe in the healing potential of the creative process and in articulating ways to optimize creative expression and maximize access to this healing. We believe in applying the creative process to find new and unique solutions to perplexing and seemingly impossible problems.
Ethical Practice The creative process, artistic expression, psychedelics and Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness (NOSC) engage complex intra-and interpersonal dynamics. We believe in learning about and educating others in the ethical implications of working with NOSC and with visual and symbolic expression.
Collaboration We believe that networking, outreach, and interdisciplinary collaboration is critical to sharing and discovering knowledge at the intersection of art, creativity, psychedelics and the artmaking process. We believe art and psychedelics are universal tools that can help in recognizing and appreciating other perspectives. In collaborating with others, we are committed to maintaining a stance of respect and curiosity for individuals and communities of other cultures and intersectional identities.
Who Are We?
We are a team of passionate and experienced Art Therapists with backgrounds in research, education, Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, and Art Therapy. The Psychedelic Network was started when we realized that there was no centralized place to explore and find community in the crossover of psychedelic, art therapy, art, and creativity.
