Psychedelics, Art, Creativity, and Art Therapy: Theory and Practice ET Summit 11/6/25 2-5 pm et

Join us at the Expressive Therapies Summit, Thurs, Nov 6, 2025 from 2-5 pm ET

The Psychedelic Renaissance is bringing attention to the benefits that these substances bring to clinical work as well as to the realm of creativity and the arts.  This presentation will review the benefits and risks of using psychedelics in clinical and non-clinical settings; the importance of adopting both a trauma-informed and a harm-reduction lens; specific benefits that art and expressive activities bring to the psychedelic experience;the role that psychedelics can play in the exploration of consciousness and creativity; andunique ethical implications that arise in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT). We will engage in experiential exploration of creative and expressive interventions that can be applied to different phases of PAT.
